Bystander Effect(2018)
The concept of this collection comes from a social news that I read, which is about an elderly man died after missing the best time to save him because passengers feared and avoided taking responsibility.
According to Psychology Today, The Bystander Effect occurs when the presence go others discourages an individual from intervening in an emergency situation. Social psychologist Bibb Lstane and John Darley popularized the concept following the famous 1964 Kitty Genovese Murder in New York City. Genoves was stabbed to death outside her apartment while bystanders who observed the crime did not step in to assist or call the police. I think we should break the shackles of the internal moral standard that affected by the complex society. We should use the purest kindness to help each other. We are all existing in the society, everyone can't get rid of the connection from each other, we all have the responsibility of the society.

The whole collection shows the cold feeling. The main color is white, and with dark tone pattern. Eyes, the special element in this project because watching is the only thing of the bystanders, are the most important element of my pattern design. Meanwhile, the abstract drawing combined with random calligraphy to make them same as doodle, just like the white garments are announcing something. The belts and the knots as the details of the garments's structure would show the constraint and exclusive.
